  • He slightly undercut his message about doing good down here, as he could just give the $200 million cost of the flight to the hospital. Still the $100 million he is giving is hardly small change.

    TMA1TMA14 days ago
    • @TMA1 What THIS mission EXACTLY costs? No. But certainly not more than a government mission, as explained. The base prices are listed quite transparently on the SpaceX website though.

      Markus RoderMarkus Roder8 hours ago
    • @Markus Roder so you don't know either, got it.

      TMA1TMA120 hours ago
    • @TMA1 No, when SpaceX sells to a private customer, they can skip the regulation red tape that increases the price substantially. I'll assume they sell for about 65 mil for the entire flight.

      Markus RoderMarkus RoderDay ago
    • @Markus Roder I'm assuming NASA pricing per seat (which is all we have to gone on). Unless SpaceX are doing it at cost for a good cause and PR but I can't find anything in the public domain. Did you ?

      TMA1TMA1Day ago
    • The flight doesn't cost 200 million.

  • They all are highly educated people. Basically, you have a doctor, an astronaut, an engineer & a pilot-billionaire.🤔These are not just random people.😅 It's like having everyone you could possibly need, the essentials, on board, it is quite great for the first civilian crew.🤔👏🏻

    R. G.R. G.5 days ago
    • "Pilot-Billionaire": Organizer of the flight "Doctor": Childhood cancer survivor who stayed at St. Judes and now works there. St. Judes is the focus of the mission (fundraiser), and Ms. Arcenaux received a predetermined seat for St. Judes, representing hope. "Astronaut": No, Mrs. Proctor is not an astronaut. She tried to apply, but didn't achieve a position. "Engineer": Yes, Chris Sembroski is an engineer working in the spaceflight field. Maybe that's why he was interested in applying? :D

  • Oh, how I envy these young people. I have dreamt of going into space since the very first space programme. When President Kennedy said "He hoped a man would be on the moon by the end of the decade. (1960's). I am now nearly 70 and I still dream of it. Plus this is being done to raise money to help children with cancer. What an incredible man Jared Isaacman is.

  • Very "inspiring". Are they going to bring the bible to space? Ironic, driving through "heaven' to get to Mars? I'm so inspired you have trillions to blow on "space travel". Treat cancer? Why not CURE it with CBDs? Oh yea reefer madness. Who will be the first to smoke pot in space. How about feeding and housing humans on Earth first? How about allowing everyone on this planet equal access to clean drinking water FIRST! Before you go off fucktarding around in space.

  • I don't understand when you said that billionaire wanted to raise money for charity. 🤔🤔 What does it mean for a billionaire to raise money for charity? 🤔🤔🤔

    SisomicSisomic6 days ago
    • His billions is net worth, liquidity. He personally does not have billions in his bank account. And even if he did it’s not his responsibility to give it away. And he’s already donated 100 million to the hospital.

  • In 2017, Xi Jinping requested in the internal documents of the Communist Party of China to start competing with the United States for the right to speak on social media in the world, and to use the Belt and Road Initiative to dominate and colonize the world. At present, the CCP has not reached any trade agreement. Should the United States increase tariffs to force the CCP to fulfill the agreement? Biden is going to pretend to be deaf and dumb, not to say anything? Or will Biden continue to blend with the CCP to make money?

  • I don't think SpaceX got the memo that when you go out of your way to have a diverse team regardless of the cost.. it's post 2020 you have to include a trans.

    Gary RGary R6 days ago
    • @warbozz 123 When we accept deaths in a mission before it's even started then see purposely diverse teams for the sake of being diverse in things that only help further the chances of failure you have to wonder if it's worth the sacrifice we are willing to make...

    • @E E Yes still exactly!!👏👏and also still wondering about what trump kept promising about healthcare since he had never once while president even came up with anything, nor did he have anything to replace it while running for his second term either . All trump did was make nonsense promises and sign an executive order for preexisting conditions, somthing Obama had already included In the ACA!!

    • @No One I didn't delete anything. But anyways you're missing the point. Sending people to space benefits all of us. Literally the device you are using to type away about all your non-space-related issues relies on people in space to launch and maintain satellites. Those satellites also make managing the global covid response much easier and saves many more lives than not having that kind of space technology

  • Holy Quran Chapter 22, Verse 73: O people, an example is presented, so listen to it. Indeed, those you invoke besides Allah will never create [as much as] a fly, even if they gathered together for it [i.e., that purpose]. And if the fly should steal from them a [tiny] thing, they could not recover it from him. Weak are the pursuer and pursued.
